Organising and Displaying Locations and Movement

You can organise the locations on the 2D Canvas by right-clicking in the canvas and selecting Organise.

If material movements have not been defined, the 2D Canvas is organised so that all locations are displayed in rows of ten in the order in which you added the locations.

If material movements have been defined, the locations are arranged using a hierarchical method to position the locations to display the movement network. If more than ten locations exist at any level of the hierarchy, the locations are arranged in rows of ten at that level.

When the movement network between your locations is complex, you can achieve better results by organising different parts of the movement network separately. To organise a subset of locations, select the locations you want to organise as a group, by holding CTRL and clicking the locations or by drawing a selection box around the locations, then right-click and select Organise.

By default, all material movements for all locations are displayed in the 2D Canvas. To display only the material movements for the locations that are selected in the 2D Canvas, right-click and select Show material movement for selected. When the movement network is complex, viewing the movement for only one location or a small set of locations can make it easier to assign and validate the movement at each location.

If you have chosen to Show material movement for selected and want to view the movement for all locations, right-click and select Show all material movement to return to the default view.

Tip: When your scenario involves a large number of locations, it could be easier to assign material movement rules using the spreadsheet view instead of using the 2D Canvas.
